Special children are the bright flowers of our society who are full of talents and deserve love and attention.
Punjab government is taking valuable steps for their education and training and rehabilitation. Specialist educators in special education institutions are busy equipping these children with a wonderful education by using all their skills.
These views were expressed by Chief Executive Officer Education Sahiwal Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram and DEO Special Education Shehbaz Ali while speaking at a function organized by Government Special Education Center Chichawatni in TMA Hall regarding the International Day of Special Persons.
Hearing impaired, blind, physically challenged and mentally retarded children presented colorful programs which were highly appreciated by the participants.
Principal Dr. Abdul Kareem, Chairman School Management Council Rana Khalid Mehmood, Expert Speech and Autism Sidra Naeem, Principal Special Education School Kamalia Bashir Rabani, social personalities, teachers, special children and their parents were present on this occasion.
CEO Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram said that it is the need of the hour to remove the misconceptions about special children as a burden on parents or society.
He said that it is the responsibility of all of us to encourage these children who deserve love and attention at every level.
DEO Shehbaz Ali described the excellent performance of the teachers of Government Special Education Center Chichawatani as commendable throughout the district.
