The Islamabad High Court, giving an important decision, had annulled the constituencies of NA-35 and NA-36.

The court directed the Election Commission to re-define the constituencies after hearing all the parties again.
The Islamabad High Court ordered that the Election Commission should hear the petitioner’s position and take a decision.
Barrister Umar Ejaz Gilani opined that according to the law, the population of all constituencies should be equal.
The court said that the petitioner was of the opinion that, for example, the population of Kohat constituency is 3 lakh more than Hangu constituency.
The election commission’s new constituencies undermine the voting rights of the people of the area.
