Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Raoof Hasan arrested

Islamabad Police has raided the PTI Central Secretariat with a heavy force and arrested PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Raoof Hasan.

At present, the detailed reasons for the arrest could not be revealed. According to PTI sources, the police have also seized computers and equipment from the PTI Central Secretariat.

PTI leader Shibli Faraz has confirmed that Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Raoof Hassan have been arrested by the police.

According to the police, Barrister Gohar and four women were not arrested and the police did not take away the laptop and documents from the PTI Secretariat.

Police officials said that the raid on the head office of the digital media cell at the PTI Secretariat was conducted by the law enforcement agencies based on evidence that the PTI’s digital media center was a hub for international disinformation.

Members and activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyers wing have reached GPO Chowk Mall Road. PTI is protesting for the release of its arrested leaders and workers.

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar is leading the protestors. He has said while talking to the media that he condemns the arrest of Barrister Gohar Khan and Rauf Hassan, the chairman is calling a meeting against the arrest of PTI leaders.

It is being said that DG ISPR is going to have a press conference at 3PM today. Sources said that the government and establishment are not willing to accept the Supreme Court orders.
