NA 142 Sahiwal: Where is PTI MNA Chaudhry Usman Ali?

A single question is being discussed in the political and social circles of Sahiwal that where is PTI MNA Chaudhry Usman Ali and has he changed his loyalties?

The news of Chaudhry Usman Ali’s disappearance came to light when he returned to the country during the constitutional amendment. According to initial reports, he and his partner were abducted while crossing the Islamabad Toll Plaza. After the news of his abduction, his family filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court for his recovery.

After that, the press release of Chaudhry Asif Ali, the vice president of PTI West Punjab and Chaudhry Usman’s uncle, came out. He claimed that the government is asking us to withdraw the writ petition from the Islamabad High Court. A heavy contingent of police has been sent around Anjum Farms to threaten us.

Chaudhry Asif was the candidate of PTI from NA-142 Sahiwal, but the government filed terrorism cases against him after May 9. MNA Chaudhry Usman Ali is his nephew who entered the field as a covering candidate. In the election of February 8, PTI pillars also won and Chaudhry Usman also comes in the same category.

Chaudhry Usman Ali took the oath of loyalty to PTI and Imran Khan on the Holy Quran before the February 8 election. The video of that oath is now viral on social media. PTI workers are very angry over his disappearance and expected joining of PPP.

The news of his disappearance took a new turn when his uncle Chaudhry Asif Ali expressed his indifference to Chaudhry Usman Ali. It is clear from the press release that Chaudhry Usman Ali has now defected from PTI. Chaudhry Asif Ali’s politics is at stake at this time. If he himself is not an accomplice of Chaudhry Usman, then a bigger political loss is not possible in his life than this.

After Chaudhry Asif Ali’s media talk, former ticket holder NA 141 Sahiwal Rana Aamir Shehzad came into the limelight and announced to surround Chaudhry Usman’s house.

He said that PTI MNA Chaudhry Usman has sold his soul to Peoples Party for 12 crores. I offer 24 crores if Chaudhry Usman returns. The agencies have told that don’t abuse us, your MNA has received 12 crores abroad.

Why did Chaudhry Usman Ali return to the country? Journalist and YouTuber Imran Riaz revealed that Chaudhry Usman was forbidden by the leadership not to return to the country. But he came exactly when the constitutional amendment was being done and disappeared as soon as he reached. Does anyone even come to disappear?

PTI leader Dr Shahbaz Gul has also made some similar revelations. He says that MNA Usman Ali was instructed by the party not to return to the country at that time. But he came and disappeared by himself.

The Muslim League-N circles claim that 4 MNAs including Chaudhry Usman are in touch with the government, and will be used when necessary.

Irrespective of the ongoing discussion on social media, the disappearance of Chaudhry Usman will be summed up only when he himself will appear in public. However, since his long disappearance, rumors have turned into belief.

Looking back at the political history of Sahiwal, there is no room for deviating candidates. Any member of the assembly who defected from his party, the people ended his politics.

Malik Nauman Langriyal was elected MPA of PTI in 2018 from the same area. After being disqualified for supporting the PDM, he was defeated in the 2022 by-election by a candidate Major Sarwar who was newcomer. In February 2024 election, Noman Langrial tried his luck again from NA 143 and could get only 32 thousand votes compared to 147 thousand votes of PTI candidate Rai Hassan Nawaz.

If Chaudhry Usman Ali has followed the same path, he might not be able to go to his native place. From the ongoing discussion on social media, it seems that the workers are eagerly waiting for him.
