Aggressive Cricketer Usman Khan sets a new national record

It should be noted that this was the 10th List A match of Usman Khan career.

Pakistan aggressive batsman Usman Khan has set a new national record for the fastest List A double century.

In the President Cup match played at Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad, Usman Khan of Ishal Associates performed brilliantly against SNGPL and completed his double century off 131 balls. Usman scored 201 runs off 132 balls in his innings and retired.

It was Pakistan fastest double century in List A cricket. Earlier this record was held by Sharjeel Khan who completed his double century off 133 balls against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while representing Sindh in 2022 two years ago.

It should be noted that this was the 10th List A match of Usman Khan career. He has so far scored 652 runs at an average of 81.5 with the help of one double century, one century and four half-centuries in ten List A matches.

Usman Khan is the seventh Pakistani cricketer to score a double century in List A matches. Before him, Fakhar Zaman, Abid Ali, Muhammad Ali, Sharjeel Khan, Kamran Akmal and Khalid Latif have also accomplished this feat.

The number one is Fakhar Zaman who played an unbeaten innings of 210 runs in 2018. Abid Ali is in second place and he also scored 209 not out in the same year.

Muhammad Ali played an innings of 207 runs in 2005. Sharjeel Khan scored 206 runs to score the fastest double century in 2022 and was ranked fourth among the top scorers in the list.

At number five is Khalid Latif who played an unbeaten innings of 204 runs in 2009. Usman Khan is at number five in this list with his innings of 201 runs.

Aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal also crossed the double century mark and scored 200 runs in 2018.
