Australia Defeats India in Women’s T20 World Cup

Australia defeats India by 9 runs in the group match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s T20 World Cup.

With the victory in the most important match of Group A, the Australian women’s team took the top position in the group.

Batting first, Australia scored 151 runs for 8 wickets and set a target of 152 runs for the Indian team.

Grace Harris 40, Ellyse Perry 32 and captain Tahila scored 32 runs and improved the team position. No other player could show enough performance.

Chasing a target of 152 runs, the Indian women’s team was restricted to 142 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted overs and thus suffered a defeat by 9 runs.

India Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten with 54 runs while Deepti Sharma scored 29 runs, Shafali Verma scored 20 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues scored 16 runs.

Australia Annabel and Sophie Molineux took 2 wickets each. With this victory, the team has qualified for the next stage.

Tomorrow October 14 is the most important match between New Zealand and Pakistan, in case of victory of New Zealand, India may be out of the event.
