Lahore (Sedhr Punjab)

The Education Department of Pakistan Sedhr Punjab has issued 6 conditions for transfer of surplus posts in government schools to other schools.

1. Surplus posts from overstaffed schools will be transferred to understaffed schools with a reduction in the admission ratio, provided that the workload and student-teacher ratio (STR) are met.

2. If a surplus post is to be transferred with its existing employee, preference will be given to a willing candidate in the relevant category of employee.

3. While transferring surplus teachers from a school elsewhere, instead of removing long-tenured or senior teachers, junior teachers will be transferred.

4. Male employees with surplus posts in Consolidated Model Primary Schools will be transferred to boys’ primary schools or primary sections of higher level schools. Female employees will be transferred to girls’ schools, provided that STR is met.

5. If two or more candidates are competing for a post in a school, the senior most candidate among them will be given preference.

6. Educators recruited in the years 2011 and 2012 will be retained in their schools, provided that workload or STR is justified.
