WhatsApp to Introduce Update for Enhanced Chat Animations Control
With separate options for emojis, stickers, and GIFs, users can manage each element individually.
Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that will give users more control over autoplay animations, with a focus on emojis, stickers, and avatars.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature will allow users to disable animations for emojis, stickers, and avatars directly from the app’s settings, providing a more personalized chat experience.
This update offers improved control over which messages animate, going beyond the previous feature that was in development.
With separate options for emojis, stickers, and GIFs, users can manage each element individually.
For instance, animated emojis will appear static if autoplay is turned off, and animated stickers will only move when users interact with them. Similarly, GIFs will remain static until manually triggered.
The feature will soon be available, making it easier for users to customize their chat settings and minimize distractions caused by unwanted animations.
