Ananya Nagla says she never faced a casting couch

Actress Ananya Nagla defended herself against allegations of casting couch in the Telugu film industry.

28-year-old actress Ananya Nagla took a defensive approach to a reporter question at a press conference related to her new film ‘Potal’.

The reporter, citing film industry insiders, claimed that every female actress in the Telugu film industry faces the casting couch.

The reporter added that the remuneration of female actors in the industry is also fixed on the basis of whether they agree or not.

In response, actress Ananya Nagla rejected the allegations of casting couch by all female actors and said, “I have never faced a casting couch”.

The actress asked the reporter, “How can you be so sure while asking this question” While there is no such thing.

When the reporter presented her position strongly, the actress replied that it is 100% false, I have never faced a casting couch, so I deny it.

She added that it may happen in the industry, but every time we see only the negative side, to say that no one gives opportunities without willingness, sorry, these are rude words.

The reporter insisted that such claims often come from people in the film industry. In response, Ananya Nagla stated that while the reporter opinion is based on hearsay, her is rooted in her personal experiences.

It may be recalled that a few months ago, the Hema Committee report on alleged sexual harassment and exploitation in the Malayalam film industry came out.
