Pakistan and Supreme Court Bar express no confidence in Chief Election Commissioner
There are serious concerns over the constituencies, electoral process and seat distribution done by the current Chief Election Commissioner.

Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association have raised no confidence and objection on Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.
In separate statements issued by both the bars, it has been said that transparent and fair elections cannot be held under the supervision of the present Chief Election Commissioner.
According to the announcement, one seat of the National Assembly has been kept in Hafizabad city with a population of 1.3 million, imbalance of seats has also been seen in Rawalpindi district, and an additional seat of the National Assembly has been added in Gujranwala against the population ratio.
In the ongoing declaration, it has been said that the conduct of the Chief Election Commissioner raises serious doubts for the integrity of the general elections. There are serious concerns over the constituencies, electoral process and seat distribution done by the current Chief Election Commissioner.
The Pakistan Bar Council has also expressed concern over constituencies while demanding that the elections of February 8, 2024 be held through a transparent process.
According to the declaration of the Pakistan Bar Council, the general elections should be held on the scheduled date and should be transparent, all political parties and independent candidates should be given a level playing field in the elections. Instead of validating every act of the Commission, the Court should take note of these discrepancies.
Chief Election Commissioner should go home, Supreme Court Bar
On the other hand, the Supreme Court Bar Association has also expressed concerns over the elections under the supervision of the Chief Election Commissioner.
The Supreme Court Bar Association says that the Chief Election Commissioner should go home because transparent elections are not possible under his supervision. Questions are being raised on the transparency of the elections under the supervision of the current Chief Election Commissioner.
The Supreme Court bar said that the elections should be held on February 8 but equal opportunities should be given to all stakeholders.
