India Announces Squads for England ODI Series and Champions Trophy 2025
Bumrah has been excluded from the squad for the England series, with Harshit Rana filling in for him.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar have unveiled the 15-member squads for India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
In a press conference, Sharma and Agarkar revealed the squad, which will compete in the tournament scheduled across Pakistan and the UAE.
His inclusion strengthens India’s bowling attack for the upcoming challenges.
Bumrah has been excluded from the squad for the England series, with Harshit Rana filling in for him. His participation in the Champions Trophy will depend on his fitness.
Agarkar provided an update on Shami’s fitness, stating that his recent participation in Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare games was part of getting him match-fit for international cricket, aiming for full readiness by the Champions Trophy.
The tournament kicks off on February 19 with Pakistan facing New Zealand in Karachi.
