Hina Pervaiz Butt takes notice of Chichawatni Rape incident

Chairperson Women Protection Authority Hina Pervaiz Butt has taken notice of the rape of a deaf-mute girl and has sought a report from RPO Sahiwal.

Hina Pervaiz Butt directed the Chichawatni police to register a case and arrest the accused immediately. On which Shahkot police station has registered a case against accused Aslam Joya on the complaint of 16-year-old Rida Fatima’s mother Amreen Bibi.

According to the details, Amreen Bibi, a resident of Chak No. 34/14-L, has said in the FIR that she sent her daughter Rida Fatima to bring ghee to a nearby shop on the evening of September 26.

On the way, the accused Aslam son of Ghulam Fareed Joya caught my daughter by the arm and took her to the empty premises and took off her shalwar and started raping her. When the girl did not return, I followed her and heard her noise and saw that the accused was committing adultery with my daughter.

When I made noise, the witnesses came and the accused picked up his shalwar and ran away from the spot. We called the police 15 on the spot and the police reached the spot. My daughter’s clothes are still contaminated, so she should be medically examined and strict action should be taken against the accused.

Shahkot police station has registered a case against the accused Aslam Joya and started investigation.

The mother of raped girl appeals for justice

The raped victim girl Rida Fatima is undergoing treatment at District Headquarters Hospital Sahiwal. Ridas mother Umbreen Bibi has appealed to DPO Sahiwal and Chief Minister Punjab for justice.

Despite registering an FIR against the accused Aslam, the police could not arrest the accused at the Shahkot police station.

The family members of the victim, Rida Fatima, have alleged that they are influential people, the police are reluctant to make arrests.
