Government Employees, Teachers and Constables can apply for postal ballot paper to vote in Pakistan for Election 2024.

Here is the step by step method to apply for postal ballot paper, to fill and submit to the relevant returning officer.

Step 1: Get Vote information from 8300

First of all send your (identity card number without dashes) to 8300. Please remember that it is necessary to have balance in the mobile phone sim card to send the message. You will receive the message reply with your vote information. Here is the sample of those information.

You will need to write those information on the application for Postal Ballot form.

Step 2: Get and Fill Application Form for Postal Ballot Paper

Here is the application form for postal ballot paper. Download it and get its hard copy printed from some Photostat shop

Enter the detail on this form seeing the message sent by 8300. Every government employee needs to fill two application forms for postal ballot papers. One in the name of the Returning Officer of NA constituency and the other in the name of Returning Officer of the PP constituency. Here is the sample of a filled form for postal ballot paper:

Step 3: Submit Application at RO Office

After filling the application form for postal ballot paper, get the headmaster of your school to sign the end of the form and submit it to the office of the concerned Returning Officer. With application form attach two attested photo copies of ID card. You can send it till Jan 22, 2024 by hand or by post office.

Step 4: Wait for Postal Ballot

The Returning Officer will check your application and send the postal ballot papers along with envelopes to your postal address a few days before polling. The back side of the postal ballot shall bear the signature and stamp of the Returning Officer.

Step 5: Send Postal Ballot to Returning Officer

You have to write the name of the candidate of your choice and the electoral symbol on the received ballot and put it in the respective envelopes and send it back to the Returning Officer before the polling day by hand or by registered post office.
