Comsats University Sahiwal holds Laptop Distribution Ceremony

During the ceremony, laptops were distributed among 191 students, including 89 male and 102 female students.

Sahiwal (Sahiwal News – Arshad Farooq Butt) A laptop distribution ceremony was held under Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme 2023 at Comsats University Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus. During the ceremony, laptops were distributed among 191 students, including 89 male and 102 female students.

The Youth Laptop Scheme is an important part of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program implemented by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to further the government’s commitment to digital empowerment and educational promotion of the youth.

Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed was the chief guest of the event and Director CUI Sahiwal Campus Professor Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar was the guest of honour.

“We believe that empowering our youth with modern technology is the best investment for the future of Pakistan,” said Commissioner Sahiwal.

He said the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme aims to bridge the digital divide and equip talented students with the tools they need to excel in their academic pursuits.

He added that this visionary program reflects the commitment of the government to harness the potential of our young minds and prepare them for the challenges of the modern world.

He said that Comsats is known for its research and urged the students to speed up and strengthen their research after the laptop facility. The director appreciated the government’s efforts to motivate the students by distributing free laptops to enhance their academic performance.

He also apprised Commissioner Sahiwal about the achievements of the campus. He said that technology is playing the most important role in today’s fast-paced global competition and this initiative of the government will make the youth talented and strong in the digital race.

In the end, the campus director presented the shield to the chief guest. The event was attended by Deputy Registrar, Heads and In-charges of Departments, Faculty members and students.
