The nominated candidates of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from NA-143 Chichawatni, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Rai Murtaza Iqbal and Rai Iqbal have approached the Lahore High Court against the decision of the Returning Officer Sahiwal.
According to the details, the senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, former MNA and former District Nazim Sahiwal Rai Hasan Nawaz Khan, former MNA Rai Murtaza Iqbal and Barrister Rai Muhammad Iqbal have protested against rejection of nomination papers from NA-143 and PP-203. They have decided to fight a legal battle.
Rana Jawad Ahmad Khan, Advocate, Former General Secretary Bar and Rana Mubasher Shoaib Khan, senior leader of the Rai group, are following on behalf of the group.
It should be remembered that the Returning Officer Sahiwal rejected the nomination papers of the three candidates on technical grounds. The Rai brothers have filed writ petitions against the decision of the Returning Officer Sahiwal in the Lahore High Court Multan Tribunal Bench and a notice has been issued to the Election Commission by the court.
