Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan has told the curious fans the reason behind the unique name of his new film ‘Dunki’.

This year has been great for Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan. Both his films ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawan’ released so far were well received at the box office.

After which the actor is now busy preparing for the release of his film ‘Dunki’ which will be released on December 21 this year.

The name of this new movie is quite unique and strange. Fans of the actor SRK and many social media users have expressed curiosity to know the meaning of the name of the movie Dunki.

Recently, a fan Mishra asked Shah Rukh Khan the same question on social media website X.

Sir, can you tell me the reason for naming the film ‘Dunki’.

Responding to a fan’s question, the actor SRK wrote that “Dunki” means traveling across borders illegally. He interestingly wrote that this word is read like Funky, Hunky and Yes Monkey.

It should be noted that the story of this film revolves around a group of 5 friends who want to move to London and settle there. This comedy-drama film deals with the issue of illegal immigration.

This group of 5 friends includes Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal along with Shah Rukh Khan, while the other cast of the film includes Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Dharmendra and other actors.

Dunki is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film based on an illegal immigration technique named, “Donkey Flight”. It is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.
