Ali Zaib Foundation Sahiwal celebrates 28th Anniversary

It is the need of the hour to create public awareness about this essential thalassemia test so that common citizens are aware of the effects of this dangerous disease and prevent it from passing on to children.
Director Public Relations Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq said this while addressing a special event organized on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Ali Zaib Foundation, in which senior journalist Pir Syed Tamtaraq Shah, Director of Alizeb Foundation Syed Saadullah Shahid, Hematologist Dr. Mazhar Farid and Major Hafeezur Rahman also participated.

Syed Saadullah Shahid, director of Ali Zaib Foundation, said that the foundation was established in 1995, while the Sahiwal office was established in 2001, where more than 3,000 children have been treated for thalassemia so far, while 30 to 35 children are treated daily. Treatment services are being provided.
Apart from this, the foundation also has a modern blood bank where blood is also provided on every patient sharing. He further informed that there are about 1500 thalassemia children in Sahiwal district who are in dire need of proper and timely treatment. He appealed to the philanthropists to fully support Ali Zaib Foundation in the recovery of children suffering from this dangerous disease.
