Sahiwal Teaching Hospital holds Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

Principal Sahiwal Medical College Professor Dr. Muhammad Imran Hasan Khan has said that breast cancer is a major cause of death among women, with timely treatment it can not only be prevented from spreading, but complete recovery is also possible.

He said this while addressing the participants of the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk organized by Surgical Ward 3 at Sahiwal Teaching Hospital.
A large number of faculty members and paramedical staff including Medical Superintendent Dr. Akhtar Mehboob, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Saeedi, Dr. Haroon Gilani, Dr. Mohammad Saleem, Dr. Sajid Mustafa, Dr. Shahid Ali and Dr. Farrukh Shahzad participated in the awareness walk.
He said that the prevention of breast cancer worldwide is a challenge, the only way to deal with it is awareness and awareness about this disease among women.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Akhtar Mehboob said that Sahiwal Teaching Hospital has a breast cancer screening facility where self-diagnosis training is also provided to women.
Addressing the participants of the walk, Dr. Zahid Sattar, Head of Medical Ward 3, urged women to consult a doctor immediately in case of symptoms of breast cancer, as it is possible to treat this dangerous disease in its early stages. The participants of the walk carried banners with breast cancer awareness.
