District Administration Sahiwal holds special function for Muharram

A special function was organized in the district council hall to express gratitude for the peaceful arrangement of Muharram.
The function was organized by the district administration and police in which certificates of appreciation were distributed to all the stakeholders for their excellent performance. The function was presided over by Regional Police Officer DIG Mehboob Rasheed.
Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Ikram ul Haq, District Police Officer Sahiwal Faisal Shehzad, SP Investigation Muhammad Tahir, ASPUT Bangal Khan Bugti, SDPOs City Circle Rana Iftikhar Ahmed and Sadar Circle Mian Asif wattoo, District Traffic Officer Saeed Ahmed Lodhi were present in the ceremony.
In-charge Security Rana Asif Sarwar, President Anjuman Tajran Haji Abdul Latif, President Chamber of Commerce Kashif Riaz, members of District Aman Committee, scholars and all the stakeholders and officers of the concerned departments participated.
Addressing the event, RPO Mehboob Rasheed, Deputy Commissioner Ikram ul Haq said that all stakeholders have a key role in organizing a peaceful Muharram.
Peace building efforts are strengthened by the cooperation of influential members of the society and leading leaders of various schools of thought.
Society does not belong to any one class, individual or group but consists of all people. The role of all stakeholders has been very important in maintaining law and order during Muharram.
Thanks be to Allah that the first 10 days of Muharram were completed in a very peaceful manner.
Haji Abdul Latif said that by the grace and grace of Allah, the ideal atmosphere of unity and agreement during Muharram has thwarted the enemy’s ambitions.
On this occasion, members of the Aman Committee Maulana Shafi Qasmi, Allama Hasan Masoumi and others also spoke.
At the end of the ceremony, the honorable guests distributed certificates of appreciation to the members of the peace committee and the officers of the relevant departments who performed best.
