ECP released the schedule of general elections 2024
Candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers from December 20 to 22.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the schedule for the general elections 2024, according to which polling for the general elections will be held on February 8.
According to the announcement of the Election Commission, the candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers from December 20 to 22, and the nomination papers will be scrutinized from December 24 to December 30.
The last date for filing appeals against rejection of nomination papers is January 3, 2024, the statement said. 10 January 2024 will be the last day for the decisions of the Appellate Authority on appeals.
The Election Commission statement added that the final list of candidates will be released on January 11, and the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is January 12, 2024.
The announcement said that election symbols will be issued to the candidates on January 13. The Election Commission also restored the training of ROs and DROs, in the light of the Supreme Court’s decision, the training of ROs and DROs was restored.
According to the Election Commission, the training of returning officers will be conducted on December 17 and 18, while the training of district returning officers will be conducted on December 19.
