Mauritania Boat Tragedy: Abubakar Paid 3.4 Million to Agent, Family Reveals
The family has demanded that the government help in transferring the body of their son to Pakistan.

A new story has emerged of a Pakistani youth falling victim to agents in the Mauritania boat tragedy.
Among the deceased in the Mauritania boat disaster was 18-year-old Abubakar from Sialkot.
His father, who hails from the nearby area of Dharam Kot, stated that the agent had promised to deliver his son to Spain within 15 days.
He mentioned that the agents had kept the boat stranded in the sea for 13 days.
After torturing and killing his son aboard the boat, they threw him into the sea. The family had paid agent Ijaz 3.4 million rupees to send their son to Spain.
The family has demanded that the government help in transferring the body of their son to Pakistan.
On the other hand, in the same tragedy, two cousins from the village of Majhi in Mandi Bahauddin, Akram and Arsalan, are among those reported missing, raising the number of missing youths from Mandi Bahauddin to 10.
Arsalan’s brother mentioned that Arsalan and his cousin Akram had sold land to pay the agent 8 million rupees, but now there is no contact with the agent.
The family seeks confirmation on whether they are alive or deceased.
