It is expected to be a tough contest between two new faces from constituency NA-142 Sahiwal in Election 2024.
According to the details, after the nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Chaudhry Asif Ali from constituency NA-142 were rejected, his nephew Chaudhry Usman Ali is in the field.
On the other hand, Ayesha Arshad Khan Lodhi, daughter of former Provincial Finance and Agriculture Minister late Arshad Khan Lodhi and wife of former MPA Muslim League-N Naveed Aslam Khan Lodhi, is contesting as an independent candidate from NA-142 Constituency.
Both the candidates have strong sources in their respective circles. PTI’s growing popularity and support of the younger generation and Chaudhry Asif Ali’s day and night work in the constituency will play an important role in the success of Chaudhry Usman Ali.
Similarly, Ayesha Arshad Khan Lodhi, who has been awarded the symbol of (Queen) by the Election Commission, has the wide span and experience of her father Arshad Khan Lodhi’s 50 years of political life. Her social work and financial support for deserving women and families in the constituency may play an important role in her success.
Given the popularity of the two young new faces in the constituency, February 8 may see a tough contest from constituency NA-142 Sahiwal.
